Snowdon 6 Challenge Rules

The Snowdon 6 challenge takes you ascending and descending Snowdon via the six different main paths within 24 hours. The Challenge is about 41km or 25 miles in distance with elevation of 2700 m.

The Six Paths 

The Snowdon 6 uses the six main routes that lead to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). Llanberis Path, Snowdon Ranger Path, Pyg Track, Miners Track, Rhyd Ddu Path and the Watkin Path. We can always switch out one of the paths for Crib Goch too for a more difficult challenge.

Our Route

Ascent 1 is the Watkin path with Descent 1 being the Pyg Track. Then Ascent 2  Miners Track with Descent 2 - Rhyd Ddu Path.Finally Ascent 3 - Ranger Path and Descent 3 - Llanberis path.

To do this challenge you need to have a good level of fitness and be use to walking/running long days in the hills/lowlands, a bit of experience moving over rocky ground and steep terrain would be beneficial. 

What we offer

Our qualified mountain leaders have first hand knowledge of all the routes and are there to help guide you, giving you the best chance at completing this challenge.

We meet at the end point in Llanberis car park do a gear check and transport you round to the start point at the bottom of the Watkin path. We also have a support vehicle local in case anyone can’t go on with the challenge anymore.
