Watkin Path Summit Experience – Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa)

Take on one of the most rewarding and challenging routes to the summit of Snowdon. The Watkin Path offers a unique journey—starting with a gentle, scenic section accessible to all, before building into a true mountain adventure.

The lower trail winds through beautiful woodland and waterfalls, making it perfect for those wanting a relaxed walk without committing to the summit. Beyond this, the route becomes more demanding, climbing through historic quarry landscapes and into dramatic mountain terrain.

With the greatest total ascent of any main route (approx. 1,015m), this 8-mile (13km) round trip is designed for those ready to push themselves. The final section features a steep, loose scree climb—making this a true challenge for experienced hikers with strong fitness and confidence on varied terrain.

What to Expect:
• Gentle, accessible lower section with waterfalls
• Option for shorter scenic walks or full summit challenge
